· About

Building Moyo,
not
inheriting it.

I'm Phila, a Computer Science student who thinks in systems and builds for community.

Moyo is being founded, not inherited, and that makes this a rare moment. It needs leadership focused on clarity, structure, and how students actually experience the house day to day. My background is in building systems that help people work together and stay connected.

I'm running because I want every student in Moyo to feel like they had a role in shaping it. Not just voting for leadership, but influencing how the house actually functions: how we communicate, how we participate, and how we build identity together.

· What We're Building

Beyond promises.
Foundations.

Four areas where Moyo needs real structure from day one. Each one practical, implementable, and built with the students using it.

01Communication

One place where everything in Moyo is easy to find.

  • Centralized weekly updates and announcements
  • Clear visibility for events, trials, and opportunities
  • Consistent channels everyone actually checks
02Sports & Societies

Easier to join. Easier to lead. Easier to stay connected.

  • Shared calendar for fixtures and society events
  • Lower friction for trying out and signing up
  • Support for students starting new initiatives
03Student Participation

Channels that actually listen.

  • Open feedback loops with the leadership team
  • Transparent progress on what's being worked on
  • Anonymous input where it matters
04Community Culture

A house that feels like one.

  • Collaborative inter-house events and traditions
  • Identity that students help shape, not inherit
  • Stronger sense of belonging from week one
